In February 2019 the Stellaria Trio presented a compelling pairing of standard and contemporary repertoire for their first performance at Plainfield Opera House including music by Haydn, Brahms and a 2003 composition by Jennifer Higdon.

In the summer of 2018 Kathy and Steven Light (of the Fyre and Lightning Consort) walked the entire Camino de Santiago, over 500 miles. Starting in France they climbed over the Pyrenees and continued west to Santiago de Compostela and onward to Finisterre (believed by the Romans to be the end of the known world). In January 2019 they brought their story to the Plainfield Town Hall Opera House where they showed pictures, spoke about their experiences and played ancient and traditional music from the Camino, which has been a pilgrim route for over 1,000 years.
In February the hosts of WCAX's "Across the Fence" stopped by Plainfield to learn more about the history and heritage of the Opera House. Across the Fence is produced by the University of Vermont Extension and has been on air since 1955. Check out the video segment they produced!:
