Diane Huling Plays Powerful Piano Recital

The third program in the 2017 Concert Series organized by the Friends of the Plainfield Town Hall Opera House – a sterling solo piano recital by classical pianist and composer Diane Huling - was held on Sunday, May 21st at 4 pm, witnessed by an audience of forty people.

Here is a brief report from “Friends” member Glenda Bissex. “Diane Huling’s brilliant and powerful piano recital demanded much of our new Baldwin grand piano, and it delivered! Especially dramatic was the opening number, Busoni’s piano transcription of Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D Minor for organ, which filled the hall with organ-like intensity and resonance. What a privilege and joy to hear such music in our Town Hall Opera House."
